League Information

Who: Girls & boys ages 6-13 from Edmonton or surrounding area.

What: The GEFFA Spring Flag League offers a non-competitive and skill development focused experience. This is a recreational league so it is run with no practice time, just games. Games will be one hour in length, and individual age groups and divisions will play on the same day and time each week. All levels/divisions will play 5-a-side flag football.  For more information on 5-a-side flag, please visit HERE

League divisions: 

Mixed Divisions

- U8 (6-7yrs old)

- U10 (8-9yrs old)

- U12 (10-11yrs old)

- U14 (12-13yrs old)

All-Girl Divisions

- U12 (10-11yrs old)

- U14 (12-13yrs old)

When: The season will feature 8 games on Saturdays, starting April 25th and ending June 20th. No games will be on the Victoria Long weekend. Times TBD.

Where: Games may be played at Clarke Field, Johnny Bright Sports Park or Millwoods Turf Field - be prepared to do a small bit of traveling for this league.

Why: To bring a fun and learning focused Flag Football experience to Edmonton during the Spring! This is designated to be a FUN and LEARNING opportunity for participants to experience football in a non-contact form! Flag Football offers the opportunity to get youth active, learn athletic skills and teamwork, and to build and create friendships. 

Investment: $200 - each athlete will receive a jersey to keep!

Equipment: Jerseys and flag sets will be provided. All athletes need to bring is a good pair of athletic shoes or cleats and a water bottle!
