Our goal for the Northern Alberta Flag Football League is to provide every child with an equal opportunity to play flag football. We believe our structure will give the kids the opportunity to learn and play multiple positions on both offense and defense. Our main focus is making sure everyone is having FUN while learning the basics of the game, teamwork and important lessons in sportsmanship. We have improved the quality and value of our program to provide our players with the best experience possible.
RECREATIONAL “FUN DOESN’T MEAN IT’S NOT COMPETITIVE”
Players, coaches or teams who play to have FUN. Your child will learn the basic fundamentals of passing /catching and this program is designed to help develop an understanding of rules, teamwork, fundamentals and sportsmanship. This is a great way for our players to learn the basics of the game, and develop the skills and techniques necessary to succeed on both offense and defense. The slate of practices and games ensures that all participants receive comprehensive instruction and gain a keen understanding of the sport. Although it’s recreational, games are still competitive in nature.

COMPETITIVE - Form your own team and compete for a chance to play at the 2025 NFL Pro Bowl
Players, coaches and teams who play to win, and have a skill level to reflect that. Our Competitive League format is a natural fit for young players who have developed into all-stars on their respective recreational teams. These players will develop a greater love for the game and improve their individual skill set at a much quicker pace by playing with and against other highly skilled players and teams. Players create their own teams (minimum of 7 players and maximum of 10 players) and find their own coach(es). The process of finding players and coaches is NOT the responsibility of the NAFFA. Teams in the Competitive Divisions can practice as many times as they’d like and do not have the individual player touchdown rules applied to them.
Players without a team can register as a Free Agent and they will be added to Teams requesting extra players
